These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Wecket. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use Wecket.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Wecket account. We verify your age at signup and block registration for anyone under 18. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement.
If you're using Wecket on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
Notify us immediately through our enquiry form if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You agree not to use Wecket to:
We investigate reports of abuse and may remove content, temporarily suspend accounts, or permanently ban users who violate these rules. See our Community Guidelines for more detail on what we do and don't allow.
You own the content you create. Posts, photos, videos, messages, and other material you upload to Wecket remain yours. We don't claim ownership of it.
By posting content on Wecket, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where the content has been shared with others (for example, a message already sent cannot be unsent from the recipient's inbox).
You confirm that you have the right to post everything you upload — that it's not someone else's copyrighted work used without permission, and that it doesn't violate anyone's privacy or other rights.
Wecket Premium is $4.99 per 30-day period, charged via PayPal. Each payment activates 30 days of Premium access. Your subscription does not auto-renew — you choose each time you want to extend it.
Event organisers set their own ticket prices. When you buy a ticket, you're paying the organiser directly (Wecket acts as a payment processor via PayPal, not as the event organiser). The organiser is responsible for delivering the event. If an event is cancelled, contact the organiser first — Wecket will help facilitate a refund if the organiser is unresponsive.
Ad budgets are charged upfront via PayPal. Your ad spends down its budget as it's shown. You can pause an active ad at any time. Unspent budget on a paused ad can be refunded on request within 30 days.
Verification costs $4 one-time, charged via PayPal. Once submitted, verification requests are reviewed by a human and typically decided within 48 hours. If a verification is declined, the $4 fee is refunded.
You can request a refund on any paid feature within 14 days of the charge through our enquiry form. We'll generally issue refunds for:
We don't generally refund:
All refunds are issued to the original payment method via PayPal.
Wecket is free to use for personal, non-commercial purposes. The free tier includes the full social experience (posts, chat, communities, live video, events) and will remain free.
We reserve the right to change which features are free or paid. If we move a feature that was free into a paid tier, we'll give at least 30 days' notice in-app before the change takes effect.
We may, at our sole discretion, remove content, restrict features on your account, suspend your account, or permanently ban you from Wecket if we determine you've violated these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
Serious violations — such as content that sexualises minors, credible threats of violence, or coordinated harassment campaigns — result in immediate permanent bans with no warning.
If you believe a moderation decision was wrong, you can appeal through our enquiry form within 30 days of the decision.
You can delete your account from Settings → Account Management → Delete Account. Your account is scheduled for permanent deletion after 30 days. Log back in at any time during those 30 days to cancel the deletion.
If you prefer to keep your account but step away, you can hibernate instead — your profile, posts, and connections are hidden from everyone, but nothing is deleted. Log back in any time to reactivate instantly.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Wecket if:
Wecket is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that content posted by other users is accurate or appropriate. We make no warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wecket is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim related to Wecket is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $50.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in-app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Wecket after that date means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Wecket is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless your local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country.
